VTB Bank Georgia has conducted 5-stage rewarding deposit draw. Various household appliances, four cars and super prise – GEL 150,000 – were drawn.

In City of Geneva Century International Quality Era Award ceremony has been held. The companies working in various fields were awarded for striving towards leadership and improving the quality. On February 14, the international rating company Fitch Ratings has assessed the long-term credit indicator with “B”, the forecast – stable, short-term rating – “B”, individual rating – “DE”, and support rating – 4. This is the very important indicator for any financial institution and ensures the trust towards it.

On march 8, the first 8 girls born in the state owned maternity homes were awarded with GEL 500 each and their mother received 1-year health insurance.

In order to support the Georgian culture and promote Georgian writers, artists, scientists and journalists, VTB Bank Georgia has established in 2006 the annual award Parnassus. The award is given to the work, project or the event, which best complies with the trends in Georgian literature and arts, humanitarian sciences, architecture and design, cultural-intellectual and education spheres. Based on the concept of support to the Georgian culture by VTB Bank Georgia, the Parnassus award actually covered the most important range of Georgian social-cultural life.

On May 22, the theatrised Parnassus award ceremony was held in M. Tumanishvili Theatre of Movie Actors. The special jury announced winners in various nominations: best performance, director, journalists’ work, music, book, painting, etc.

On July 19, the international rating agency Fitch Ratings has increased the rating of VTB Bank Georgia to “BB”. Such a high assessment indicates towards improvement of the Bank’s operational environment and financing parameters.

Fitch Ratings has increased the rating of VTB Bank Georgia in following categories:

Long-term rating – from “B” to “BB”
Supporting rating – from “4” to “3”
Short-term rating – “B” 
Individual rating – “D” 

On September 3 2007, Evgenii Nemerinskii has been appointed to the position of General Director of VTB Bank Georgia.
